01What this is

Where Army Special Operations meets defense innovation.

The Best Drone Team Competition runs a full week at Fort McClellan, Alabama, August 24 to 28, 2026. The first half is the competition, where Army Special Operations teams go head to head in tactical scenarios for the title of best drone team. The second half is the vendor showcase, where companies put their systems in the warfighters' hands. Sponsors back the whole week and carry their name across all of it.

02Why organizations sponsor

The three audiences you reach.

The warfighters

The Army Special Operations teams the nation counts on. Standing with them puts your organization's name on the side of the mission and builds the credibility this community runs on.

The founders and investors

The companies building in the national interest and the investors behind them. These are the partners your organization wants to know, and this event is where those relationships start.

The distinguished visitors

Senior military leaders and the UAS program offices shaping the field attend across the week. Sponsoring puts your organization's name in that room, where the relationships that move this market begin.

04Additional information

What each inclusion means.

Plain-language definitions for every line in the chart above.

Included at every tier
Four competitor dinners + VIP off-site dinner
The sponsor-hosted evening dinners run through the week, catered and open bar, with the competing founders, program offices, cadre, and senior leadership in attendance. This is the main setting for the relationships the event exists to create. Your seats also cover the VIP off-site dinner on Friday, and the number steps up by tier.
On-site branding bundle
Your name on the high-traffic physical touchpoints: aisle naming, barracks charging towers, and the check-in badge table. It travels the site with every attendee through the week.
Dwell-time lounge feature
A branded presence in the spaces where people wait and gather, from the vending wall to the storytelling corner, keeping your name in view between events.
Facility naming recognition
Recognition naming on an event facility. The scale steps up by tier: a minor facility at Delta and Charlie, a major facility such as the drop zone at Bravo, and a signature building at Alpha.
Charlie and above
Dinner naming rights
Your name on one of the week's dinners. Charlie takes a lower-tier dinner, the Monday kickoff or Tuesday competition night, while higher tiers take the premium nights.
Standalone lounge-block branding
Full branding of a major lounge asset: the Drone Simulator Bay, the Morning Coffee & Breakfast Bar, or the Care of the Force bundle, as a self-contained block under your name.
Bravo and above
On-site signage, menu logos & table tents
Entrance signage, printed menu logos, and table tents across your sponsored dinner, so your name sits on every surface guests use through the evening.
Welcome address + rotating logo loop
A short welcome address to the room, plus a rotating logo loop on the hall's video displays through the event.
Head-table seats + event photos
Reserved seats at the head-table dinner for your principals, with premium seating at the Alpha tier, plus professional photos from the event you can use afterward.
Alpha only
Top-line branding dominance
The 30×6 exterior hero panel on the main facility, plus the interior backdrop and dinner-hall backdrop. It is the largest and most-seen placement on site.
Lanyards, swag bag & event t-shirt front
Your logo on the event lanyards, the competitor swag bag, and the front of the event t-shirt, worn and carried across the site all week.
Website hero & printed program guides
Presenting placement on the event website hero and across the printed program guides.
Barracks Welfare bundle recognition
Supporting-sponsor recognition tied to the barracks welfare bundle. Watchtower funds and places all welfare items uniformly as the event's non-Federal collaborator.
Building naming rights during the competition
Naming rights over a designated event facility, such as the main fire station, for the week of the competition. The building carries your company name for the event.
05In-kind support

Not every partner writes a check.

Some bring equipment, logistics, or technical support. If it helps the mission, we want to talk. Email us at drone@watchtowerus.org with what you have in mind, and we'll work out the recognition together.
