Rate Manufacturing

Rate builds an eight-inch strike and reconnaissance quadcopter on a fiberglass frame it mills in-house fifteen minutes from Redstone Arsenal. The design premise is that a drone is consumable, so unit cost is set low enough that a team can carry several, lose all of them on one objective, and not write it up. There is no launcher, no mast, no ground station, and no calibration sequence. The aircraft comes off a ruck, sits on the ground, and flies. Field repair takes minutes with no special tools and there is no depot.
